I don't have a lot of memories of Grandpa but one that I do have is of him flipping pancakes in the air. It was a little before he "graduated" and I just remember thinking it was so neat that he could do that.
I remember going to California and playing in what I thought was the most amazing garden in the world in Grandmas back yard. She would always cut me a flower and give it to me and I loved just being there listening to the birds and being with the flowers. When Cousin John was married I was outside the temple with her and pushing her around in her chair and remembered her smile and being so happy for her grandchildren. She said that the temple grounds were so peaceful and she just looked to content at that moment. That night at the reception I remember dancing and watching her pure joy watching us all dance and having so much fun.
Another memory of Grandma was when she came to Palm Springs and stayed in the little condo on the other side of the golf course. I would walk over there and it was like a whole other vacation spot. I remember she had some arts and crafts for us to do and paper and coloring things and was just the perfect Grandmother.
Grandma was so easy to please and she was always there with a smile whenever she saw someone. When she moved to Spokane and I would visit her she would always have some juice and some kind of cookie there for me and anyone that came to visit.
